Dr. Leo has a long-standing interest in both ethno-medicine and the history of medicine. She takes pride in researching new findings (both in conventional and alternative medicine) as well as traditional approaches to a wide variety of medical problems, giving her a thorough understanding as well as a very broad scope of treatments to draw from.
She works together with each patient teaching the patient about his or her own health, explaining methods to achieve wellness and tailoring individual treatment to each patient, ensuring each patient is able to utilize and benefit from the treatment given.
Visits include a detailed patient history and physical examination. Laboratory tests (conventional medical or alternative) may assist in making a comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, and patients are encouraged to bring in lab test results from medical doctors or other practitioners so that Dr. Leo can give more detailed explanations of results to patients.
Treatment may include diet, herbal medicines, supplements, homeopathy, physical therapies, skin therapies, acupuncture and/or hypnosis, according to the patient's wishes.
